Attend a Primitive Skills Gathering in Rexburg, ID or Spokane, WA to Step up Your Skills!

If you haven’t been to a primitive gathering, you don’t know what you are missing. If you are single, a couple, or a family, is by far the funnest 1-week prepper learning vacation one can buy. They cost $300-$425 per adult for a week and includes the camp space, dinner and lots of free classes (and paid classes too). Last year at Rabbitstick in Rexburg, there were over 500 people and almost 100 instructors. Learn everything from caveman skills to metal smithing, tanning, animal processing, edible plants and basket weaving. They have an entire children’s program so the adults can take adult classes. The kids cost $150 for the week. There is one in Washington in May (Between the Rivers Gathering) Memorial Week and one in Rexburg, Id (Rabbitstick) the second or third week in September. Expect to see everyone from preppers to cowboys, to full Indian garb and lots of regularly dressed ‘normal’ people. It is so fun and informative. Its a no drinking and drugs event. You can’t find a better 1-week vacation for a family or couple! However, many classes do have fees if you are doing something like tanning buckskin or coppersmithing or other bow making. I bring $100 extra for class fees. Here are a few things my husband have made and us at camp. And the food is fabulous and all you can eat. Here are the links to Rabbitstick and Between The Rivers.
